Moonspun Spins

A few things that are making me happy on this last day of January in 2009.

* Music. I just added a Johnny Cash channel to my Pandora which I listen to at work. I LOVE it! Not just because of the Johnny Cash songs, but the great old time blues that are playing on it, too. Stuff I like, but I’d never know the names of the songs or singers. It’s makes me do little dances at my desk.

* Sex. More specifically sex withOUT the moon boot. So much better. And while I miss lil moonspun, sex with the light on and no limits on volume has its own set of benefits.

* Girl Scout cookies. Passing in lil moonspun’s order today and in a few weeks I’ll be crunching on the yearly treat that is the frozen thin mint!

* Comments on my blog. I live to read what you say. You make me laugh and smile everytime.

* Other blogs. I’d be less of a person if I didn’t read about Badass’ blue balls, Lola’s Mennonite neighbors, or see adorable pictures of Rocket from Sus…and so on and so on….

 * Work. Yes I said work. I’ve had a lot to do and that makes me feel productive and useful. Like it’s worth coming to.

* Friends. Two friends helped me out this week. One drove lil moonspun and I home when RP had a night meeting. She and her fiance came back for dinner and played Chinese checkers with lil moonspun and I. Lil moonspun loves them and we all had a good time. My other friend drove me to and from my long-awaited and much needed chiropractic appointment yesterday.

* Snow. Ok, it was a pain in the butt the other day, messing up plans, but it sure it pretty around our house now. Nothing like evergreen trees with snow on them.

* Healing.  I had a great doctor’s appointment yesterday. I got the go-ahead to start to put weight on my foot and to start walking on my moon boot as opposed to dragging the thing around. I  have four weeks until my next appointment and over the course of that time I should gradually ditch my crutches and be walking on my moon boot. Between that and physical therapy and assuming all goes well, I am supposed to bring a regular shoe to my next appointment and walk out of there with it on! Which also means I can drive again! Woo hoo! I also got the ok to stop wearing the boot in bed…woo hoo again!

* WWI. Ok that’s not a happy subject, but it’s what we are studying in class right now and my crush on said professor aside, I LIKE going to class and learning things.

* RP. Come on, I can’t mention happy things without my handsome hubby. He’s a good man, he’s funny and I enjoy being with him.  He’s a great kisser, too.
